This is why OUEN Co., Ltd. exists.
Having the engineering is not enough to use it well. Where to apply it and how takes imagination, and it takes the human side of the work. We bring all three to bear — engineering, imagination, humanity — to give people an experience beyond what they expected.
To get there, we keep after three kinds of integrity, as professionals.
The three kinds of integrity OUEN holds to
01Integrity towards the result (thinking and doing)
Go back and forth between thinking and doing, however unglamorous, until value beyond what was expected exists.
- Sweat with your head and with your body. Think it through even when it is tiresome, move even when it is messy, and see the result all the way out.
- Ask “why” before “how”. Action that does not lead to a real result is not good enough.
- Be neither the critic on the sidelines nor the pair of hands that has stopped thinking. Think, then move.
02Integrity towards the facts (honest and open)
Integrity shows not in well-chosen words but in how quickly you turn and face the facts.
- No glossing over, no hiding. Inconvenient facts get said plainly; that is what trust is built on.
- The worse the news, the sooner it goes out. Share it early even without a solution, and protect your colleagues and the floor.
- Future trust over this quarter’s number. Explaining honestly is how OUEN grows as OUEN.
03Integrity towards people (building together, trusting each other)
Not a fire on the far bank — go and pull the chestnuts out yourself.
- Face each other having made up your minds. Step in honestly, and build a relationship that produces results together.
- Leave no one on their own. When it is hardest, move on the question of how we go forward together.
- Do not dismiss, do not slip away, do not smooth it over. Understand where the other person is coming from, and go at the heart of the problem with them.
