What FOOMA JAPAN 2026 is
FOOMA JAPAN is one of the world’s largest trade fairs for food manufacturing, gathering the latest technology, products and services in food machinery, equipment and related gear. Run by the Japan Food Machinery Manufacturers’ Association, 2026 was its 49th edition, with 1,025 exhibitors — more than ever before.
This year’s theme was “The Shift is On.” With automation, labour saving and food tech all arriving at once, the fair set itself up as a place to choose and create the new standard rather than wait for it.
We exhibited in the startup zone, with a working demonstration aimed at the inspection problems of food and production lines.
Supported by METI, MAFF, MHLW, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and JETRO.
What we showed
We showed our main product, Inspection Designer: the industry’s first Zero-Training AI visual inspection software, which needs no training data and runs the same day, without code, automating the inspection of contaminants, shape defects and printing errors on food lines. Its anomaly detection also catches defects nobody anticipated, which is where quality assurance on the floor tends to get stuck.
